FAQ

Straight answers on managed IT

The questions owners and office managers in Marietta and East Cobb ask us most.

What does a managed IT provider do?

It owns the upkeep of your PCs, network, logins, security tools and backups in exchange for a predictable monthly charge. The focus is keeping things maintained so fewer things break, and fixing them quickly when they do.

Which areas around Marietta do you cover?

Marietta and Marietta Square, East Cobb, the Powers Ferry and Windy Hill office parks, the Town Center area, Kennesaw, Smyrna, Acworth and Roswell. Engineers travel from our Alpharetta office for on-site work.

How quickly will someone get back to us?

Every new inquiry gets an answer from a senior engineer within one business day. Client agreements set response targets for each urgency level, and the typical help desk ticket is handled remotely that day.

What will managed IT cost us?

Headcount, device count and the services you select drive the number. After the review you get one fixed monthly figure in writing. Bigger projects are quoted separately before they start.

Are we locked into a long contract?

Every term is reviewed with you before signing. Clients stay because support is good; we don't rely on fine print to hold anyone.

We supply parts or services to defense programs. Can you help?

Yes. We run day-to-day IT and security for small suppliers and keep systems documented and controlled. CMMC certification itself comes from an accredited assessor, and some firms also bring in a compliance specialist for the paperwork.

Our practice is near Kennestone. Do you handle HIPAA requirements?

Yes. We put the Security Rule's technical safeguards in place, such as unique logins, encryption, activity logging and protected backups, write down how each is met and feed that into your risk analysis. Policies and staff training remain the practice's job.

Can you share the work with our in-house IT person?

Yes. Some clients keep an internal person for daily needs and use us for security, monitoring, projects and backup. We agree in writing who handles what.

What happens if we get ransomware?

Infected machines are cut off first. Then we trace what the attacker reached, rebuild from locked backups and assist with notices to your insurer, bank, clients or customers. Prevention and tested backups make recovery far faster.

Should we get rid of our server?

In many cases yes. Files and email usually move well to Microsoft 365. Some ERP, estimating or practice software still needs a server, local or hosted. We review each program and recommend what fits.
